On a standard video card on a PC, what is the output to monitor called? What type of port is it?

i am trying to convert the output on my pc to rca or another compatable output to connect to my tv, i know there are many solutions that require an additional card, or a different card, and i know about the tuner boxes. but i know that there is a way to go from one right to the other with rca. i just cant recall what it is called!!|||your video graphics array (VGA) connector can be know as either a VGA (duh) or a 15-pin DIN.
