No video output from new video card?

recently bought a used Radeon 6950, but when I connect the hdmi cable theres no output, or any other cables for video, the tv does recognize the hdmi cable was connected but no video, could it be that my 550w psu isnt enough for this card and my pc or a defective video card?

Would like t know b4 contacting the seller, thank yuo.|||The 6950 requires a 500w power supply ( http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/g… ) so you are OK there.

Have you installed the drivers for this video card? If not, then there's your problem. Use the above link and click on the "Support" tab to get the latest driver.|||Power consumption under load for 6950 is 256W, so it might be borderline, but probably ok.|||Try extending computer out to the tv. Does vga work? Maybe you should install the ati controller or panel so you can have more control over the video card.|||Were you using integrated motherboard graphics prior to installing the HD 6950? If so, disable it in BIOS, because it's probably STILL set as your primary display output, and still outputting video.
