How do I add a s-video output to Gateway laptop?

My Gateway laptop has a space for an s-video cable. However, it is blocked. It appears to may have been an option at the factory. Because it was an option and did not initially come with the s-video cable adaptor already installed, can I add only the s-video port without adding additional pci cards or other adaptors or cards?|||idk talk to a computer person preferrably from best buy or a company because the private computer technician people charge u for everything|||Hello, i think your only option to get S-Video is to use the VGA connection. Chances are your Laptop will have a VGA out connection. In this case, all you will need is a VGA to s-Video Converter.

Ebay is your friend, have a look at these results: http://search.ebay.com.au/search/search.…

Otherwise Google "VGA to S-Video converter"

Cheers
