Is there any way to reverse the video output on your computer video card?

because i have 2 video cards...and one of them has like a Video and S-Video output...how can i reverse that to like record something off of like a dvd player?...or something that has a video or s-video output?|||I don't think you can make a video out into a video in. Buy a tv card or something like that.
